Building Permit Fee Schedule Update – Effective April 15, 2026

Lee County Community Development has updated its permit fee schedule to better align the fees with the cost of providing permitting and inspection services. Fees will be assessed using the fee schedule in effect on the date they are added to the permit record.

 Pay Fees

Lee County uses the eConnect online system to process payments for permits, applications, and other services.

Access eConnect

To make payments online:

  1. Go to the eConnect Payment Portal.
  2. Search for your permit or case using Global or Record Search.
  3. Select Payment > Fees, then click Pay Fees.
  4. Follow on-screen instructions to complete your payment.

Convenience Fees

To cover electronic processing costs, the following convenience fees will apply:

These fees are charged by the third-party payment processor and appear as a separate line item during online checkout.

    • Have your permit/case number and billing address ready
    • Payments are securely processed and redirected back to eConnect

eCheck Payments

Before using eCheck, please contact your bank to ensure that Forte Payment Systems (Company ID: 1330903620) is authorized for debits—especially for business accounts with filters or blocks.
    • Requires routing number, account number, and check number
    • Permit or case number must be included
    • Fast, secure, and lower-cost alternative to card payments.

Accepted methods at our cashier station:
  • Credit/Debit Cards (subject to convenience fee)
  • Checks and Cashier's Checks
  • Money Orders
  • Cash is not accepted

To mail a payment:

  • Make checks payable to LEE COUNTY BOCC
  • Include your permit or record number in the memo line
