Notice is hereby given that there will be two public hearings before the Lee County Board of County Commissioners to consider entering into a development agreement between Lee County and Clara Point, LLC. The County's proposed adoption is pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 163.3220. The purpose of the agreement is to provide appropriate mitigation as required by Section 163.3178(8)(a), Florida Statutes, and the Lee Plan, to address  impacts of any increased density on hurricane evacuation times resulting from the comprehensive plan amendment CPA2025-00003.

 The property is located along the west side of South Tamiami Trail and abuts the eastern edge of the Forest Country Club in Lee County, Florida.

The Public Hearings will be held on May 19, 2026, and June 2, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Lee County Commission Meeting Room 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida.

A copy of the draft development agreement is available for public inspection at the Lee County Department of Community Development, 1500 Monroe Street, Fort Myers, Florida, on any weekday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Anyone wishing to appeal the Board's decision(s) with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings. Generally, a verbatim record, including all testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, will be necessary.
