The Office of Management & Budget (OMB) provides the Board of County Commissioners with objective budget and fiscal information to support informed decision-making. OMB also carries out the Board’s financial policies and ensures that county spending supports the County’s strategic goals and priorities.

OMB works closely with county departments, fiscal officers, and managers to: 
  • Forecast county revenues, expenses, and reserve funds 
  • Develop the County’s annual operating and capital budgets
  • Monitor and report budget performance throughout the year
  • Evaluate operational and financial performance
  • Provide recommendations on debt financing and oversee the County’s credit management
  • Manage risk assessment and protect County assets
  • Align financial policies and budgeting decisions with the County’s strategic plan
