COMMUNITY RATING SYSTEM
The FEMA Community Rating System is a voluntary program that encourages community floodplain management practices that exceed the minimum requirements.
National Flood Insurance Program members earn discounts on flood insurance policies though higher regulatory standards for floodplain management.

Property owners in unincorporated Lee County will automatically receive a 25% discount on their flood insurance because of points earned through the CRS program.
