Inspection Scheduling
Options for scheduling, viewing, or cancel inspections, and paying re-inspection fees are as follows:
Subcontractors:
Subcontractors can attach to a permit using one of the following methods:

Phone IVR (preferred & fastest): Call 239‑533‑8997, use your assigned PIN, Option 4 to attach instantly (no staff involvement).

Email (staff processed): Complete the
Subcontractor Form and send to eConnect@leegov.com. Processing times vary (typically 1–2 business days).

eConnect/ACA upload (staff processed): Upload the completed Subcontractor Form to the permit record in
eConnect. Processing times vary.
Requirements: Permit must be issued; subcontractor must hold valid state license and insurance. For assistance:

- Dial 239-533-8997
- Press 1 to schedule inspection
- Press 2 to cancel inspection
- Press 3 to hear results
- Enter 3 characters of permit type
- Enter the numeric portion of your permit, replacing the dash (-) with the star key (*) if applicable
- Press pound (#) once you have entered the above information
- Enter your 3-digit inspection code found below or listen for further options

Fire Inspections:
Fire Inspections Scheduling: Two-step process
- Please call the automated system at 239-533-8997 to generate a fire inspection (902) ticket.
- Contact your local fire department to make arrangements with them to perform the inspection. When scheduling, make sure to ask if a 906 rough inspection is also required.
Fire Inspection Completion: The paperwork is sent directly to that Fire Department for signoff and returned to our Inspection section once the inspection is completed. We only will accept documentation from the fire districts directly; we do not accept documentation from contractors.

Private Providers:

Elevation Certificates:
Lee County does not prepare Elevation Certificates. Elevation Certificates are prepared by locally licensed surveyors and submitted to Lee County Community Development as a requirement of the building permit process for structures located in FEMA's Special Flood Hazard Area/Flood Zones. Digitally signed and sealed elevation certificates or related documents should be uploaded through the Forerunner web portal.
Note: Electrical and Mechanical Inspections must be completed prior to submittal a final Elevation Certificate. (not applicable for MRV permits)
Inspections Affidavit:
Engineers/Architects authorized to perform inspections pursuant to Florida Building Code, Sections 105.14 and 107.6. may submit the
Engineer/Architect Affidavit.
Permissions to Stock, Equip, Furnish or Train:
Permission to allow for employee training or to stock, equip, and/or furnish prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy may be requested as follows:
