As a member of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), Lee County will provide documentation and general assistance to property owners in unincorporated Lee County. This includes:

  • Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) Letter – Verifies the current flood zone and base flood elevation. It also verifies the flood zone and base flood elevation or effective at the time-of-construction. The FIRM letter also includes a variety of other flood map and flood hazard information.
  • Elevation Certificate – Elevation certificates issued for construction in unincorporated Lee County since 2008 are available online. Elevation certificates issued prior to that are no longer accurate due to extensive FEMA mapping changes. Get additional information.
