Infrastructure Planning coordinates transportation facility planning with development infrastructure needs and land use review. Staff represents the Lee County Department of Community Development in the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization advisory committee process and development of the Long Range Transportation Plan.
Lee County projects identified on the Long Range Transportation Plan are coordinated with other infrastructure departments and prioritized in the development of the Lee County Capital Improvement Program.
Development review participation includes applications that may have infrastructure or transportation impacts such as comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, Conservation 20/20 candidate parcels, and petitions to vacate right of way.
