Temporary Disconnect
Residents planning to leave their homes temporarily have several options for managing their utility services, as outlined below. Please note that utility accounts cannot be closed during temporary absences. The Owner of Record is responsible for the monthly base charges for utility services at all residential properties. These charges will continue to be assessed regardless of the selected option.

Hard Disconnect
Residents may request a hard disconnect, where LCU turns off the meter. This option incurs a disconnection charge.

  • To restore service, customers must request a reconnection, which will be completed on the requested date or the next business day.
  • A reconnection charge will apply when service is restored.

No or Self Disconnect
Managing Your Water Service While Away

Residential customers can monitor their water usage remotely through smart meter data when away for an extended period without contacting LCU for a disconnect.

For added precaution, you may choose to self-disconnect by shutting off your water using your home's main shutoff valve. If you have concerns about unexpected water usage between the meter and your home, you can track your consumption through the customer portal. To login, click here.
