Lee County Utilities (LCU) New Development division focuses on Developer-Contributed Asset Projects, which involve developer-funded enhancements to LCU’s water and wastewater systems. These enhancements can range from individual fire hydrants or fire lines to comprehensive water and wastewater infrastructure necessary to support full-scale residential and commercial developments within LCU’s service area.
We are actively engaged throughout every phase of the project—from Development Order Submittal and Approval to the Final Acceptance of constructed infrastructure for Lee County ownership, maintenance, and integration into service. LCU’s Development Team is dedicated to guiding developers, engineering firms, contractors, and the public through each stage of the Developer Project process. Our team members possess in-depth knowledge of the LCU service area, existing infrastructure, policies, procedures, and applicable rates and fees, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
