Library Sidewalks and Grounds

The First Amendment of the United States Constitution allows certain types of free speech on public sidewalks like the ones outside county libraries. An area has been designated at each library for the exercise of free speech. Please sign in with staff prior to use of the designated areas identified on the PDF maps below for each location. Please see the details of the Library Sidewalks and Grounds Policy .

Privacy Policy

The Lee County Library System is a county government agency and operates under Florida's Government-in-the-Sunshine Law, including the Public Records Law. This law provides that any records made or received by any public agency in the course of its official business are available for inspection, unless specifically exempted by the Florida Legislature. Records documenting meeting room/outdoor space use and rental of Lee County Library Facilities are, therefore, available to the public and the media upon request. Bank account, debit, charge and credit card numbers held by the library are exempt from public disclosure.
