About Bonita Springs Public Library:
Situated in the Bonita Community Park, the Bonita Springs Public Library is centrally located in the city.
One of the oldest libraries in the county, the facility was started by volunteers who operated the building until Lee County took the reins in the 1970s. The present building was enlarged to its current 12,000+ square feet in 1990.
Serving a diverse socio-economic community, the library strives to satisfy the many needs of its users. Classes of students from neighboring Bonita Middle School visit on a regular basis along with the many teens, children and families who come to the library after school.
Friends of the Bonita Springs Library
The Friends of the Bonita Springs Library group is a non-profit, volunteer organization that helps library staff raise awareness of the library’s cultural and educational assets in the community by enhancing programming and services through the development of supplemental financial resources. Resources are made possible through membership fees, donations, fund raising events, book sales and grants from outside organizations.
