Win Prizes!

Numerous prize drawings will be held after the summer reading program’s completion in early August. Patrons will be contacted using the email or phone number provided on their READsquared account.

Grand Prizes

Participants that earn 1000 points are automatically entered to win the Grand Prize drawings for their age categories, and each additional 100 points earned increases the participant’s odds of winning. There is one system-wide grand prize per age group.

  • Pre-K – Little Tikes Playhouse
  • Kids – Nintendo Switch
  • Teens – Oculus Go VR
  • Adults – Kindle Fire HD 10 with Alexa
Branch Prizes

Participants that earn at least 500 points are automatically entered to win the branch basket for their age group, and each additional 100 points earned increases the participant’s odds of winning. There is one prize per age category per library branch.

  • Pre-K – early literacy basket filled with books and storytime props
  • Kids – basket that includes popular books and a Steve Spangler Science Kit
  • Teens – book basket that includes popular titles and a Sphero mini robot
  • Adults – canvas tote bag filled with giveaways and popular titles, including an autographed copy of The Deserter by Nelson DeMille and Alex DeMille.
Random Prize Drawings

A variety of prizes will be offered throughout the summer for all summer reading participants signed up in READsquared, and the higher the participation points the more chances participants will have to win. Points can be earned by logging books and completing missions filled with fun and challenging activities on a variety of themes. Drawings will be held in early August, and winners must be able to pick up prizes in person at one of the Lee County Library System branch locations.

System-wide prize drawings for book bags filled with new books and other goodies will be held at random for participants after registration and upon completion of each 100 point badge level within the reading program. Additional branch and grand prize drawings will be held for participants meeting certain point thresholds within the reading program.

Play Online Games!

Online and in-app games can be unlocked within the READsquared program as point values increase throughout the summer. Every 100 points unlocks two additional games for each age group as an extra incentive to keep participants reading and challenging themselves.

Book Bingo for Adults

A book bingo challenge within the READsquared program allows adults to read books in the featured categories for extra chances to earn points. Bingo rows completed earn an extra 50 points toward participant’s completion goals and are automatically eligible for the system-wide bingo prize drawing. The bingo board is found on the logging screen directly below the daily reading log activity section.
