Mark your calendars! Fandom Fest, a FREE celebration of geek and pop culture, returns to the Fort Myers Regional Library Noon – 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11. This year’s festival features live entertainment, costume contests, fandom crafts, food trucks, awesome prizes and more!

Festival Headliner

The 2021 festival features electronic dance music artist dj-Jo (aka Zenpaku) and his fresh EDM remixes of anime music.

Tampa Taiko

Tampa Taiko is back by popular demand. Feel the beat of the big drums and learn about Japanese taiko with this dynamic, professional drumming ensemble.

Learn how to dance to your favorite K-pop tunes with instructors from Residance - Fort Myers’ urban dance studio.

Character Meet and Greets

Bring your camera or smartphone to take pictures with your favorite characters! We’ll have princesses, super heroes and even Santa Claus in the mix this year!

All Ages Costume Contest

You spoke, we listened. The costume contest is back!
Bring your best and compete to win the grand prize a family four-pack of tickets to Universal Studios or Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.  

Costume Guidelines

To ensure everyone's enjoyment of this event, attendees must observe the following rules:
  • No real or realistic looking weapons are allowed.
  • Lack of clothing does not equal a costume. 
  • Shirt, shoes and pants/shorts/skirts must be worn at all times.
Fort Myers Comic Fest representatives, library staff members, or security personnel reserve the right to inspect costumes and/or accessories.
  • Attendees will abide by the Lee County Library System Patron Code of Conduct.
  • Attendees who do not comply with the rules and regulations will be asked to leave the property.
Individuals who do not want to be photographed or recorded are responsible for removing themselves from the area or notifying the photographer of their opt-out status.

Student Volunteers Wanted!

Earn service hours at Fandom Fest. High school students, grades 9 through 12 are needed for the following areas: festival set-up, crafts, activity booths, tech demos, cosplay meet and greets and more! Full-day and half-day spots are available.
