- Originally dedicated in 1993 as Lehigh Community Park South; however, the park's name was soon changed in 1994 to Veterans Park in honor of our country's veterans.
- Phase I (1993) consisted of a lake, pavilion, one unlit outdoor basketball court, concrete skate park bowl, playground, hill, and picnic areas.
- Phase II (2002-03) includes the large Recreation Center, lighted adult softball fields, additional parking, enlarged lake, and maintenance compound.
- Phase III has two covered, lighted basketball courts, four lighted tennis courts, and splash playground.
- Phase IV (2013) includes a four-acre multi-purpose athletic field, a handball court, additional picnic areas, and a new dog park – Paws 4 Duty.
- The James F. Crockford Jr. Memorial Walkway is lined with Oak trees donated by individuals honoring specific veterans.
