​Information

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the following protocols will be implemented:

  • Adults 65 years and older and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions are strongly encouraged to avoid large crowds
  • Do not come to the event if you, or any household member have been experiencing symptoms OR have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the event
  • Practice social distancing- in the facility, as a spectator, while participants check in, in the restroom, etc.
  • Please bring your own food and drinks for consumption as none will be provided
  • Masks, gloves and hand sanitizer will be available for use
  • Players can wear masks and are encouraged to wear a mask when not competing
  • Outdoor games:
    • In the event of a lightning delay, all participants and spectators will exit the facility and seek a socially distancing safe shelter in their vehicles
    • Depending on field sites and locations there may be areas to cool players who may be suffering a heat related illness. Lee County Parks and Recreation will allow access whenever possible to socially distancing safe areas where cooling is conducive. In the event there is not access to cooling facilities, 911 should be called.
  • Lee County Parks and Rec staff will be responsible for disinfecting indoor areas used for competition
  • Shared equipment will be disinfected as needed
  • Adherence to the Centers for Disease Control guidelines, the Governor of the State of Florida's executive order and all Lee County Parks and Recreation facility rules

The 20th Annual Boca Grande 5K Run will serve as the Lee County Senior Games host race. All event management, including registration, will be through the Boca Grande Community Center. Register online at runbocagrande.com. Entry fee is $20 (including t-shirt) before February 7, 2021. After February 7th, entry fee is $25 and does not include a t-shirt. Please note that Gasparilla Island is accessed by a toll bridge

Schedule / Time Conflicts

You may enter as many events as you want as long as they are not held at conflicting times. It is up to the athlete to make sure their own schedules do not have any time conflicts, there are no refunds for cancellations.

Eligibility Requirements & Age Divisions

Minimum age to compete is 50 years of age on or before Dec. 31, 2021. Age categories for men and women individual events are: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99 & 100+. Age category for doubles and mixed doubles events is the age of the youngest player.

T-Shirts & Awards

Competition will be conducted in accordance with the Florida Senior Games State Championship “Rules of Competition” except as modified by the Lee County Senior Games. Lee County Senior Games reserves the right to disqualify any player or spectator from further participation or attendance in the Lee County Senior Games for inappropriate conduct
