  • Employee Benefits provides assistance with education and enrollment of benefits programs, qualifying life events, claims questions and resolution, as well as assistance with beneficiary updates, claims forms and retirement questions.
  • Health & Wellness Services provides organization-wide education, engagement and challenge opportunities centered around employee-wellbeing. 

Employee Learning and Development

  • Learning and Development provides professional development opportunities to Lee Board of County Commissioner employees. Some of the various learning programs available are the Human Resources Leadership Academy, New Hire Orientation, Customer Service training, as well as many online learning courses available on demand.
  • Learning and Development also oversees the Lee Board of County Commissioners Length of Service awards and Employee Recognition programs.

Information Systems

  • The HRIS Team evaluates work processes, maintains the Human Resources databases and websites, and provides technical support, reporting, and project management to the Human Resources staff.


  • The Operations Team provides business focused, strategic and operational Human Resources advice and services to managers and employees utilizing collaborative interactions and methods to best utilize our collective knowledge, skills, and abilities. Partners with our workforce to identify and promote innovative and empowering solutions to assure the strategic goals of the Board of County Commissioners are met. Oversees employee leave management for absences related to FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD and manages the employee return to work process. Serves as the official custodian of personnel records for the Lee County Board of Commissioners.

Talent Acquisition & Compensation

  • Talent Acquisition & Compensation fosters strong relationships and offers strategic guidance to our applicants and current work force in an effort to position the Lee County Board of Commissioners as the employer of choice. Partners with our departments to research, develop, and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.   • The TAC Team also manages the County's classification system and pay plans to include the design, administration, and implementation of compensation programs.
