| Scope Of Work: | 1.1. Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Vendor to administer an Abandoned Property Registration Program.
1.2. The purpose of this project is to establish an electronic registration process to limit and reduce the deterioration of property located within unincorporated Lee County, as contemplated by Lee County Ordinance 13-18. The mortgagee of a distressed property is required to register the property with the County. A property is distressed if it is under mortgage default; under a notice of mortgagee’s sale or pending sale has been the subject of a mortgage foreclosure sale where title is retained by the mortgagee; or title has been transferred to a mortgagee under deed-in-lieu of foreclosure sale, short sale, or any other legal means. This registration program is a mechanism to protect neighborhoods from becoming blighted through the lack of adequate maintenance, or through distressed and/or abandoned properties that are subject to mortgages in default.
