The public may participate in zoning, special exception and variance hearings before the Hearing Examiner. Members of the public wishing to address the Board of County Commissioners during a final zoning hearing must have participated at the Hearing Examiner level by placing verbal testimony on the record. A Public Participation Guide is available.

Members of the public may also email the Department of Community Development staff prior to the hearing.  Written comments may be provided to staff to enter into the record at hearing if you are unable to attend.

The public may attend Code Enforcement hearings.  However, only those called as a witness may testify.

Please see the overview for public participation in the zoning process.
