L.E.E. - Learn to Earn
The award-winning L.E.E. Program offers a free, 7-month Medical Office Skills job training program that covers subjects including:
- Medical and Dental Terminology
- Microsoft Office Computer Applications
- Medical Front Office Operations
- Customer Service
- Basic Billing & Coding
- Electronic Medical Records
Also included is one year of case management with a L.E.E. Program Coordinator, resume writing and interview skills training, as well as additional training necessary to prepare for entry into a medical front office career. The primary goal of the program is for participants to begin a search for full-time medical office employment prior to graduation.
The L.E.E. Program is designed to rapidly produce a substantial increase in work earnings for low-income working individuals by teaching the skills needed to work at the front desk of a doctor's office, a medical facility, or in medical records.
Lee County resident
Age 18 or older
Low-income working household
Provide proof of earned income
Provide proof of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Able to pass a criminal background check for medical employment
Pass a basic entrance exam
Willing to search for and accept full time employment in the Medical Office field prior to graduation
Willing to work closely with a Case Manager for one year
Eligible Participants Receive:
Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Fort Myers.
The L.E.E. Program was honored in May 2002, with a Public Service Excellence Award bestowed by the Public Employees Roundtable in Washington, D.C.

JUST - Job Upward Success Training
Registration is now open for the Job Upward Success Training Series.
Job Upward Success Training is a series of classes that discuss a variety of topics ranging from Team Work, Social Media to Problem Solving and Critical Thinking. In today’s workforce soft skills are a necessity. Employers are seeking individuals that have good work ethics and who display professionalism with positive attitudes. Organizations expect people to know how to behave on the job, but this is not the case for many. That is where JUST comes into play. JUST will provide individuals the tools to help them function better at work as well as in life.
If you have trouble maintaining employment or maybe you believe you could present yourselves better pertaining to attire and presentation, JUST is the place for you. If you are interested in attending the 6 series classes, please register using the link below. Clients must attend all classes in order to obtain the Certificate of Completion.
