Scope Of Work: | The Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CM) for the construction of an advanced water reclamation facility (AWRF) capable of treating 6 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater. The underground infrastructure being built will allow for a facile expansion of the AWRF from an initial 6MGD to a maximum buildout of 10MGD. The AWRF will provide a conventional advanced treatment process consisting of the following major units: • Equalization tank; • Headworks with bar screens and grit removal system; • Splitter box; • Oxidation ditches (5 Stage Bardenpho); • Clarifiers; • Deep bed gravity filters; • Contact chambers; • Clearwell; • Conventional reuse system, consisting of a storage tank and booster pump station that will convey reuse to existing and new reuse customers or other offsite beneficial use consisting of an Indirect Potable Reuse (IPR) system; • Reject system consisting of a ground storage tank; • Alternative reuse system, , or both, to be determined during design; • Deep Injection Well (DIW) system; • Digesters; • Sludge holding and dewatering system; • Supporting chemical systems; • Supporting odor control systems; • Other miscellaneous systems such as storm water, electrical, SCADA, back-up power generators, etc. • Main process building housing AWRF’s electrical room, server room, control room, break room, locker room, administrative offices, and storeroom for spare parts & separate maintenance repair shop. |
