NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lee County Board of County Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Commission Chambers, 2120 Main St., Fort Myers, FL to conduct the regular business of Lee County. 

Please note during the meeting the Board of County Commissioners may convene and take action in its capacity as the Lee County Port Authority. Lee County will not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, income or family status. Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Lee County, Florida will consider the enactment of a county ordinance on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., in the County Commissioners'  Meeting Room, Old Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida. The title of the proposed ordinance is:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY, FLORIDA REPEALING AND REPLACING IN THE ENTIRETY LEE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 18-22, AS AMENDED BY LEE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 22-06, AS AMENDED BY THE LEE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 23-21 RELATING TO THE PROCUREMENT OF GOODS AND SERVICES; AMENDING EXHIBIT 1 FEDERAL PROCUREMENT STANDARDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL LAW; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS OF LAW; SEVERABILITY; CODIFICATION AND SCRIVENER'S ERRORS; PROVIDING FOR MODIFICATION THAT MAY ARISE FROM CONSIDERATION AT PUBLIC HEARING; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

​On May 20, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., the Lee County Board of County Commissioners will hold a closed executive session to discuss collective bargaining labor negotiations between the Southwest Florida Professional Firefighters and Paramedics, Local 1826 and Lee County as authorized by Section 447.605, Florida Statutes.

The opening of the public meeting will convene in the County Commission Chambers, Old Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida, and will adjourn to a closed Executive Session in the East Room of the Old Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida.  Upon conclusion of the closed session, the public Special Meeting will reconvene in the County Commission Chambers.

The purpose of the closed Executive Session is to discuss collective bargaining labor negotiations between Southwest Florida Professional Firefighters and Paramedics, Local 1826 and Lee County as authorized by Section 447.605, Florida Statutes. The following individuals will be in attendance at this closed executive session: County Commissioners: Kevin Ruane, Cecil L. Pendergrass, David Mulicka, Brian Hamman, Mike Greenwell; Attorneys: Richard Wm. Wesch, Andrea R. Fraser, Robert D. Holborn, Sacha Dyson and County Manager Dave Harner. 

Immediately following the closed Executive Session, the Board will reconvene its open public meeting.

LEE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING
THE HOUSING FINANCE AUTHORITY OF LEE COUNTY, FLORIDA'S
MULTI-FAMILY MORTGAGE REVENUE BONDS

For the purpose of Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on behalf of the Housing Finance Authority of Lee County, Florida with respect to the issuance of its Multi-Family Housing Revenue bonds in the aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $46,260,000 bonds for the project known as North Chamberlain Apartments, pursuant to Chapter 159, Part IV, Florida Statutes.

The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 9:30 AM, or as soon thereafter as can be heard, held in the County Commissioners' Chambers, Old Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida.

The Bonds are to be used for the purpose of financing the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, equipping and development of 240-unit multi-family affordable rental housing development located at NWC Corner of Zellwood Terrace and North Chamberlain Blvd., North Port, FL 34268 for families of low, middle or moderate income.

In accordance with 159.612(4) F.S. "The bonds issued pursuant to the provisions hereof, and the bonds shall so state on their face, shall not be a debt of the county or the state, or any political subdivision thereof; and neither the county, nor any state or political subdivision thereof, shall be liable thereon; nor in any event shall such bonds or obligations be payable out of any funds or properties other than those of the housing finance authority."
