Notice is hereby given that there will be two public hearings before the Lee County Board of County Commissioners to consider the County’s adoption of the Verdana Village Development Agreement pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 163.3220. The substance of the development agreement is to address the infrastructure requirements, including transportation impacts to the County road network for the Project known as Verdana Village. 

The property is located at 19500 Corkscrew Road, on the south side of Corkscrew Road approximately three miles east of the Alico Road/Corkscrew Road intersection in Lee County, Florida. The Verdana Village Development is approved for a maximum of 2,400 dwelling units; 100,000 square feet of neighborhood commercial floor area, and Recreational amenities, to be located within the development pods.

A portion of the Project includes the previously approved development known as Pepperland Ranch. The Pepperland Ranch Project was approved with a Development Agreement recorded as Instrument #2017000183852. Adoption of this Development Agreement will supersede and terminate the Pepperland Ranch Project Developer Agreement.

The Public Hearings will be held on May 19, 2020, and June 16, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Lee County Commission Meeting Room 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida.

The file may be reviewed Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Lee County Zoning Division, 1500 Monroe St., Fort Myers, FL 33901. Anyone wishing to appeal the Board’s decision(s) with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings. Generally, a verbatim record, including all testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, will be necessary.
