​Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Lee County, Florida will consider the enactment of a county ordinance on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at 9:30 a.m., in the County Commissioners' Meeting Room, Old Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida. The title of the proposed ordinance is:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LEE COUNTY ORDINANCE 13-19, PERTAINING TO NONCONSENT TOWING AND IMMOBILIZATION SERVICES PROVIDED IN LEE COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY; TITLE; APPLICABILITY; FINDINGS, PURPOSE AND INTENT; DEFINITIONS; PERMIT REQUIRED; PERMIT APPLICATION, FEES; ISSUANCE OF PERMIT, APPEAL, AND RENEWAL; INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS; PERMIT DOCUMENT SPECIFICATIONS; MANIFEST, TRIP RECORD OR TOW SHEET; REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO THE TOW OR IMMOBILIZATION OPERATOR AND RELATED BUSINESS ENTITY; NONCONSENT TOW OR IMMOBILIZATION; EXPRESS INSTRUCTION BY LAW ENFORCEMENT; REQUIREMENTS FOR NONCONSENT TOWS FROM OR IMMOBILIZATION ON PRIVATE PROPERTY; DROP CHARGES; IMMOBILIZATION; TRUCK CLASS SPECIFICATIONS; BUSINESS INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS; TOWING SAFETY STANDARDS; MAXIMUM RATES FOR NONCONSENT SERVICES; VIOLATIONS, PENALTIES AND ENFORCEMENT; ADMINISTRATION; DISPOSITION OF FEES AND FINES; AUDIT; REPEALER; PERTAINING TO MODIFICATIONS THAT MAY ARISE FROM CONSIDERATION AT PUBLIC HEARING; CONFLICTS OF LAW; SEVERABILITY; CODIFICATION, SCRIVENER'S ERRORS; AND, AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Copies of this Notice and the proposed ordinance are available for inspection or copying during regular business hours at the Minutes Office of the Clerk of Courts of Lee County, located in the Courthouse Administration Building, 2115 Second Street, Fort Myers, Florida. Interested parties may appear at the meeting in person or through counsel, and be heard with respect to the adoption of the proposed ordinance.

Anyone wishing to appeal the Board's decision(s) with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings. Generally, a verbatim record, including all testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, will be necessary.
