The Boardwalk section of Hammond Stadium at the Lee County Sports Complex remains closed at this time while the county and its partners continue to conduct a structural review. The public's safety is our top priority. The county is working with partners involved in the Boardwalk project, including The Minnesota Twins, Manhattan Construction, Populous and engineering firms. We are in the assessment phase. We are committed to a rigorous investigation and to addressing any concerns that are identified.  Check back for updates as they become available.

Why did the county close the Boardwalk section of Hammond Stadium?

Internal assessments indicate a closure of the Boardwalk section of Hammond Stadium at the Lee County Sports Complex is in the best interest of public safety while an ongoing structural review is conducted.

When will the review be completed?

The county anticipates an engineering report in the near future.
