Chain of Survival

Lee County EMS, in cooperation with some of the local fire districts, the American Heart Association (AHA), local hospitals and other local health care providers, is working to strengthen the Chain of Survival within our community. The Chain of Survival is used by the American Heart Association to describe the key elements of the Emergency Cardiovascular Care program. The chain starts with early recognition of medical emergencies.

Public Education Courses

Lee County EMS offers the AHA HeartSaver AED and HeartSaver First Aid public education courses. These courses are offered at least once per month, with the ability to add more classes as needed based upon community demand. Small and large groups can be accommodated at various locations throughout the County. These classes are taught by our Florida-certified paramedics and emergency medical technicians, and each of our instructors has been trained and certified by the AHA.
