Buckingham is a rural community located east of I-75, south of the Orange River and north of Lehigh Acres. Established as the Rural Community Preserve, community planning efforts seek to preserve the existing rural and agricultural land use pattern, protect the community’s unique historical and environmental values, and provide for rural residential areas.
  • Lee Plan Goal 20 supports the community’s rural and historic character, agricultural-based economy, natural resources, and visually attractive environment.
