Overview

Class Tour PhotoThe LeeGROWS program examines the operations of the Lee County Board of County Commissioners and the offices it funds.  There are over 200 taxing authorities in Lee County, including independent fire districts, city governments and a school board.  The program’s focus is to help citizens gain an understanding of how Lee County government operates.  You will be able to peek behind the scenes and experience what it takes to keep our community thriving.  


Class Tour PhotoThe program session consists of five, one-day classes occurring consecutively on Wednesdays.  Classes are held from approximately 7:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  You will experience a variety of presentations and educational tours of Lee County facilities.  You will hear from over 35 county departments and Constitutional Offices, including the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Medical Examiner, Property Appraiser, and Tax Collector.

Parking, a deli lunch, and transportation to facilities are included at no charge.

Requests for accommodations for participants with limited mobility can be arranged.  Please notify us of your request at the time of registration.
