Alva is a rural community located along the shores of the Caloosahatchee River in Northeast Lee County. With North Olga, it comprises the Northeast Lee County Planning Community. The Alva Community aims to protect its rural way of life by supporting an active agricultural industry, strong rural village, vital natural resources, and rural homes. The Alva Community actively promotes and protects its historic rural character through a variety of community planning projects:
Alva Community Plan and

The owner or agent applying for the following types of county approvals must conduct one public informational session within both the Alva and North Olga community plan areas prior to obtaining a finding of sufficiency.
