Once conservation land is acquired, many of these lands typically require some level of the following:
- Invasive exotic plant control
- Trash and debris removal
- Hydrological restoration or enhancements to improve water quality, sheet flow, hydroperiods, and wetland habitat to support wildlife
- Reduction of overgrown vegetation to improve the midstory and canopy structure of many plant communities, and also to minimize fuel in an effort to reduce the intensity of flames during a wildfire or prescribed burn
