Information This complex includes: five baseball fields with bullpens and eight batting tunnels. The clubhouse includes: a spacious players' locker room with showers, a trainer/therapy room, a hydro-therapy room, laundry room, an umpire locker room & coaches locker room. ATTENTION:This facility is equipped with the WeatherBug Lightning Alert System. When the system detects lightning within 10 miles of the facility, the air horns sound an uninterrupted 15 second blast & the strobe light will activate. Park users who hear the horn need to seek safe shelter immediately. When the system no longer detects a threat, three 5-second blasts from the horn will sound & the strobe light will deactivate. This is the signal that it is safe to return outdoors.No system is fool-proof. Park visitors should always assess weather conditions before going outside & always be prepared to take the appropriate action needed to ensure one's safety. *If the connection is DOWN, please follow the National Weather Service 30/30 rule until it is restored.*View Player Development Complex. History The Lee County Player Development Complex is where the Boston Red Sox Minor league teams (AAA,AA,A, etc...) used to train & play at before their respected seasons began around the country. This facility was also used by the Red Sox MLB team to train & practice at before leaving to play their exhibition games @ City of Palms Park. The Red Sox left this facility for JetBlue Park that opened at the beginning of the 2012 Spring Training season.
