space1.pngSummer Reading Program for All Ages - A Universe of Stories!

Join us for another summer of fun-filled reading and exciting activities at your library May 28 – August 10, 2019!

Visit The Library And Attend Free Programs

Beginning May 28, all children and teens are eligible to receive one free summer reading book, while supplies last. Weekly prize drawings will be held at each branch for participants in grades K-12 that visit the library during the summer, and adults can also earn chances to win branch prizes by participating in the Intergalactic Multi-Task Challenge.

All programs are free and open to the public, but advanced registration is suggested to guarantee your spot in the program. Please see our event calendars for details and any registration requirements.

Log Your Reading Online

Summer Reading is going online with Reader Zone, an app that will let you see your progress in real time.

readerzone.png Visit or download the ReaderZone App to create a FREE account, and enter the reading code lcls2019summer in order to join. Adults registering multiple family members under the same email account must first create a “parent” account before adding themselves and their children.

Reader Zone participants are automatically entered to win the Grand Prize for their age category after logging one book between May 28 and August 10, 2019.

Prizes include an early literacy prize basket for birth-preschool age children, a cruise on the Little Toot tugboat followed by dinner on the docks for school aged kids, a variety of tickets to area attractions of interest for teens, and a Kindle Paperwhite for adult readers.

Winners must be able to pick up prize at any Lee County Library System location, including Bookmobile stops. Find out more at the library branch closest to you.
