Bonita Springs Public Library
About the Library

Opened in April 1974, the library is named after Jupiter Hammon, the first published African American author, and Paul Laurence Dunbar, the first widely acclaimed US African American poet. 

The library features a dedicated collection of African American Literature named in memory of longtime library advocate and employee, Mary Rice.
