PAM1998-00002 - Future Land Use Map Small Scale
Current Status - Effective
Map amendment to change Urban Community to General Interchange is being sought to allow subject property to be utilized as a Commercial use related to the Corkscrew Rd. and I-75 Interchange. This would represent a more appropriate designation and align the westerly boundary of the GI on the n. side of Corkscrew Rd. with the south side.


PAM1998-00003 - Summerlin Road South of Outlet Shops
Current Status - No
This is a request to Amend the Future Land Use Map series for a specified portion (22.9 acres) of two parcels of land located in Section 11, Township 46 South, Range 23 East (across Summerlin from the Sanibel Factory Outlet shops) to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from "Outlying Suburban" to "Urban Community."


PAM1998-00004 - Mulligan Property
Current Status - Deny
This is a request to Amend the Future Land Use Map series for four parcels of land (totaling 55.13 acres) located in Section 33, Township 46 South, Range 25 East (generally located between Corkscrew Road and Williams Road on the east side of U.S. 41) to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from "Suburban" to "Urban Community."

PAM1998-00006 - Hideaway Cove - Rural to Outlying Suburban
Current Status - Deny
This is a request to Amend the Future Land Use Map series for a parcel of land (60.324 acres - amount to be redesignated needs to be clarified) located in Section 20, Township 46 South, Range 25 East (generally located beyond the end of Pine Road, north of Broadway, west of U.S. 41, San Carlos/Estero) to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from "Rural" to "Outlying Suburban." *This amendment has been ongoing since the 1998/1999 amendment cycle.


PAB1998-00007 - Daniels Interchange
Current Status - Continued
This request includes four components: Create a new Future Land Use Map category named "Mixed Use Interchange" Amend Policy 1.3.2, "General Interchange", to remove language that allows residential uses in this land use category. Amend the Future Land Use Map series for six parcels of land (153.2 acres are included in the request, per the application) located in Sections 15 and 22, Township 45 South, Range 25 East (generally located in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of Daniels Road and I-75) to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from "Outlying Suburban", "General Interchange" and "Wetlands" to the new "Mixed Use Transitional Interchange" category. Amend the Planning Communities Acreage Allocation Table 1b in the Daniels Parkway Planning Community to add 67 residential acres to the new "Mixed Use Transitional Interchange" category, reduce the allocation of "Outlying Suburban" by 58 acres to 882 acres and reduce the "General Interchange" allocation from 9 acres to 0.


PAT1998-00008 - DR/GR Recreation
Current Status - Continued
This is a request to amend the existing text of Policy 1.4.5, the Density Reduction/Groundwater Resource (DR/GR) descriptor policy, to allow "private recreational facilities" (such as golf courses, golf driving range, swimming pools, tennis, shuffleboard, handball, racquetball, playgrounds, outdoor cultural facility, archery ranges, and boat and canoe rental) in the Density Reduction/Groundwater Resource land use category.


PAT1998-00009 - Buck Key
Current Status - Continued
Add a new policy, proposed Policy 5.1.12, to the Future Land Use Element. The inclusion of this policy in the Lee Plan will provide the ability to transfer residential development rights from Buck Key to South Seas Plantation Resort located on Captiva Island. Add a footnote to Table 1, Summary of Residential Densities, under "Maximum Total Density" that provides: "Maximum density may be permitted to exceed standard density pursuant to the provisions of Policy 5.1.12 where the transfer of development rights is approved pursuant to a developer agreement with Lee County." Modify the definition of Density in the Glossary to allow the inclusion of "acreage related to the natural systems preserved through a development agreement for which a receiving parcel has received transfer of development rights approval" in the calculation of gross residential density. PAT1998-00010 - MH Zoning in V-Zone
Current Status - No
This is a request to revise the existing text of Policy 80.1.2 to state that the County shall not rezone for (versus the current wording that states that the County shall not permit ) new or expanded mobile home or recreational vehicle development on barrier islands or in V-zones as defined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Withdrawn


PAM1998-00011 - Brynwood, Pinehurst, and Camelot
Current Status - No
Amend the Future Land Use Map series for the existing residential subdivisions (Brynwood, Pinehurst, and Camelot) and adjacent parcels located in Section 24, Township 45 South, Range 25 East (generally located south of Daniels Parkway between U.S. 41 and Metro Parkway) to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from "Central Urban" to "Suburban" or "Outlying Suburban."


PAM1998-00012 - Alico Road Open Lands
Current Status - No
Amend the Future Land Use Map series, Map 1 the Future Land Use Map, to change the Future Land Use designation from Industrial Development to Open Lands for approximately 135 acres of land lying east of US41 and north of Alico Road in the northwest corner of section 05, township 46, range 25.


PAM1998-00013 - Public Facilities Update
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, to update the mapped Public Facilities Future Land Use Category by adding and/or removing lands to more accurately identify publicly owned lands.


PAT1998-00014 - Planning Communities
Current Status - Continued
Amend the Vision Statement, Chapter I of the Lee Plan, to reflect the new Planning Communities Concept and their sub-communities.


PAT1998-00017 - Mining in Industria Development
Current Status - No
Evaluate Policy 1.1.7 "Industrial Development" to determine whether mining should be considered an allowable use.


PAT1998-00018 - Agricultural Uses in Future Urban Areas
Current Status - Effective
Amend the Future Land Use Element by amending Goal 9: Agricultural Lands and adding a new objective with one or more policies that address the permitting of new, or extension of existing, agricultural uses within lands designated as Future Urban Areas.


PAT1998-00019 - Add Special Exceptions to Policy 5.1.5
Current Status - No
Amend Policy 5.1.5 to specifically include the review of Special Exception uses to assure that adequate conditions may be attached to minimize or eliminate potential negative impacts.

Amend Objective 17.2 to reinstate language restricting future road plans and prohibiting the extension of certain specific road facilities within the Buckingham Rural Community Preserve Area.


PAT1998-00025 - School Colocate
Current Status - No
Add criteria which encourages the location of schools proximate to urban residential areas and add a requirement that the county seek to collocate public facilities, such as parks, libraries and community centers, with schools to the maximum extent possible.


PAB1998-00026 - Update Transportation Maps

Revise and update the Transportation Element including the following: Update of Map 3A of the Transportation Map Series (2020 Financially Feasible Transportation Plan) to reflect amendments to the Lee County MPO 2020 Transportation Plan, based on the network proposals from the Bonita Springs Traffic Circulation Study. Update of Map 3D of the Transportation Map Series (Bikeways/Walkways Facilities Plan) to reflect the most recent version of that document
