Karyn Allman

Karyn has a Masters degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Kent, Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology in England. Before working with Conservation 20/20, she has worked for the South Florida Water Management District as an Environmental Analyst for over 9 years. Karyn worked for a variety of other agencies and organizations here in SW Florida and elsewhere in the U.S., including the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Sunday Creek Watershed Group (a nonprofit in SE Ohio), and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. She is certified as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) by the Society of Wetland Scientists Professional Certification Program (SWSPCP).

Karyn joined Lee County Conservation 20/20 in 2016 as a Land Stewardship Coordinator. As a coordinator she will write land management plans, conduct site inspections and work with contractors on things like exotic control and hydrologic improvement projects.

Karyn grew up in Maine, and loves being outdoors including activities like hiking, birding, diving, and kayaking.
