Jeff Anderson

Jeff Anderson earned his B.S. degree in Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University 2001. Jeff previously worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter in Montana and Idaho for 3 years before relocating to Florida. During this time, Jeff served as a fire crew leader on many wildfires and prescribed burns. Jeff also completed the Wildland Firefighter Apprenticeship Program in Sacramento, CA in 2003.

Jeff joined the Conservation Lands staff in 2004 and is responsible for the hiring, overseeing and evaluating of contracted restoration work, supervision of the heavy equipment operators and overseeing all equipment operation and maintenance. As the prescribed burn coordinator, Jeff’s also responsible for writing and updating the Fire Management Plan, and coordinating all fire-related training for the Conservation Lands staff.

Jeff is a Certified Prescribed Burn Manager, a certified pile burn manager, an ISA certified Arborist, and a licensed pesticide applicator. He is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture.
