Maintenance dredging has been completed.  Approximately 90,000 cubic yards of dredged sand was used to renourish portions of eroded beach south of Blind Pass and the north end of Bowman's Beach on Sanibel.

What this means for you:

• All portions of the beach have reopened to public use.  Fishing from the Blind Pass Bridge is allowed again.

Project funding comes from Lee County tourist-tax revenues and a Florida Department of Environmental Protection grant.
