Ray Sandelli, Commissioner District 3

Ray Sandelli, of Bonita Springs, is the managing partner at CRE Consultants, a southwest Florida based commercial real estate firm. The company advises clients on healthcare, office, retail, industrial, land and property management. He began his brokerage career with the former parent company CBRE, Inc. as an office leasing specialist in Seattle, Washington. He then moved to the company’s Cincinnati office as the Managing officer. In 1995, he became the senior managing director of the CBRE Tampa office and in 2000 he assumed responsibility for all operations in the firms Florida region.

Sandelli graduated from Monmouth University in New Jersey. He then completed eight years of military service as a naval officer and aviator. While deployed aboard the USS Independence (CV-62) he completed two operational tours to the Mediterranean Sea participating in Sixth Fleet operations during the 1973 Middle East War and the 1974 Cyprus conflict. Ray then reported to VT-86, at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida as an Advance Training Command Instructor for naval flight officers. His final tour was as a member of the Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels. 

In August 2019, Sandelli was appointed by Governor Ron Desantis to the Lee Board of County Commissioners, District 3, a seat vacated by the late Larry Kiker.

Ray is married to his wife Jan and are the proud parents of three children.
