SCHOOL IMPACT FEES
Proposed amendments to the school impact fee ordinance are scheduled for review as follows. Please note that the report has been finalized after going through committee review and some minor changes have been made. Copies of the school impact fee update study are available by clicking here. <http://www.lee-county.com/dcd1/Downloads/Documents/Studies_Reports/Ordinances/SchoolImpactFee.pdf>
BoCC Public Hearings
October 11th and October 25th (both hearings held in BoCC Chambers
and begin at 5:05pm)

A NEW OPTION FOR SUBCONTRACTORS
Automation of Subcontractor Registration, 239-479-8997 option #5
Changes in our automated inspection line (239-479-8997) will delete the need for subcontractors to fax in their Subcontractor Fax Form and wait the 48 hours to be added to a permit.

A PIN will be required to utilize the new changes. The Qualifier can authorize the issuance of a PIN via the "Subcontractor PIN Authorization." Copies of this form are available in the permitting office or online by clicking here. <http://www.lee-county.com/dcd1/Applications/Permit/SubcontractorPIN.pdf> Once completed, this form may be faxed (479-8340), mailed or hand delivered to the permitting office. Once a PIN has been assigned, the qualifier will be able to attach their license to a permit and request an inspection with one phone call. This will be a great time saver for all!!! For additional information, please call Kendra Ricketts at 479-8368 or by e-mail at kricketts@leegov.com <mailto:kricketts@leegov.com>.

HEX EXHIBITS
All exhibits presented to the Hearing Examiner are retained for the records. The Hearing Examiner accepts exhibits on boards for demonstrative purposes and for use in her/his decision making; however, an official exhibit entered into the record must be either a foldable copy of the exhibit or an 11 x 17 duplicate of the board exhibit (clipping the exhibit to the board rather than glueing it is an acceptable form since it can be removed from the board and folded to be put in the file). For additional information, please contact Jamie Princing at 479-8445 or by e-mail at jprincing@leegov.com <mailto:jprincing@leegov.com>.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING METHODOLOGY STUDY
The county is working on an Affordable Housing Methodology to ascertain the impacts of non-commercial development on affordable housing and to include policy options to mitigate those impacts. The first phase of the study has been completed and will be presented to the County Commission at the October 3rd Management & Planning meeting for policy direction. Copies of the study are available by clicking here. <http://www.lee-county.com/dcd1/Downloads/Documents/Studies_Reports/2005AffordableHousingMethodology.pdf> For additional information, please contact Antia Richards at 479-8547 or by e-mail at richarah@leegov.com <mailto:richarah@leegov.com>.

UPDATED APPLICATION(S)
The Bonita Springs Application for Public Hearing for Planned Development has been revised to require 14 copies at submittal instead of 13 so the City can provide a copy to their consultant for TIS review. We have also increased the resubmittal requirement for TIS documents from 4 to 5. You can download the revised application by clicking here. <http://www.lee-county.com/dcd1/Applications/Zoning/CBS/PDF/PublicHearingforPlannedDevelopmentBS.pdf>
