LEE TV TO BROADCAST HISTORY OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA SERIES

Fort Myers, FL (February 2, 2005) - Lee TV, Lee County's Government Access channel has added the FGCU-produced series, Untold Stories of Southwest Florida to its lineup.

The series gives a historical overview of many areas of Southwest Florida, and includes segments on Ft. Myers, Bonita Springs, Sanibel, Ft. Myers Beach, African Americans, Charlotte County, Desoto County, and Clewiston. Each episode features video, photographs, and interviews with historians and long-time residents sharing their stories, memories and knowledge.

Lee County provided funding to FGCU for the programs and is pleased to add the series to its schedule to give more residents and visitors a chance to view it. The half-hour program will be broadcast on Thursdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm and will be changed every two weeks. The first program is on the history of Ft. Myers.

Lee TV is the county's 24-hour channel, providing residents with information about Lee County Government as well as public safety and state related news.
