Mar 5, 2008 Open to the public Tropical Fruit Tree Propagation Wednesday, March 26, 2008 Lee County Extension If you have ever wanted to know about budding, grafting and air layering of south Florida most commonly grown fruit trees then here is your opportunity. This is a hands-on class. Instructors will bring a limited amount of rootstocks, budwoods, and plants for you to take home. Grafting tools will be available but it is advisable that you bring your own. Space is limited. 1:00 – 1:40 pm Budding and Grafting of Avocadoes and Mangoes 1:50 – 2:30 pm Air Layering of Lychees and Longans 2:40 – 3:25 pm Citrus Propagation and Dwarf Citrus Dr. Robert Rouse – Citrus Specialist, University of FL Immokalee Research and Education Center, Immokalee Cost of this class is $10.00 per person.
