LEE TV TO AIR VIDEO ON FLORIDA'S WILDFLOWERS

Fort Myers, Fl. (January 8, 2008) – Lee TV, Lee County's Government
Access channel, will begin airing a new program that highlights Florida's diverse wildflower population. 

The program, "Wildlife Matters: Florida Wildflowers", was produced by the State of Florida, Florida Wildflower Advisory Council, and the Florida Wildflower Foundation.  Viewers will learn where they can see Florida's native wildflowers and what's being done to protect them.  They will also learn where to purchase native wildflowers for use in landscapes.

Florida Wildflowers will broaden viewers' awareness of the state's wildflower population, their significance to Florida's biodiversity and resident's quality of life.

The program will air on Mondays at 8:00 pm on Comcast Cable channel 11. Lee TV is the county's 24-hour government access channel that provides residents with information about Lee County Government, as well as public safety and state-related news.
