18 new employees join Lee County emergency medical services

EMS Actively Working to Fill 9 Remaining Vacancies

Ft. Myers, Fla.-Lee County Emergency Medical Services announced 18 recruits started on Oct. 26, 2007.

New recruits are:

    Darren Watson, EMT, Sarasota, Fla.

    Ryan Staffieri, EMT, Naples, Fla.

    Daniel Lefebvre, EMT, Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.

    Jason Banko, EMT, Cape Coral, Fla.

    Corey Leary, EMT, Fort Myers, Fla.

    Raymond Wiegand, EMT, Venice, Fla.

    Robert Sauder, EMT, Sarasota, Fla.

    Andrew Martin, EMT, North Fort Myers, Fla.

    Nichole Libretto, EMT, Cape Coral, Fla.

    Jennifer Vassell, EMT, St. James, Fla.

    Edward Zarick, EMT, Ft. Myers, Fla.

    James Lapoint, Paramedic, Beverly Hills, Fla.

    Christopher Myers, Paramedic, West Babylon, N.Y.

    Joran Dattoli, Paramedic, Lewes, Del.

    Brennen Hoffacker, Paramedic, W. Palm Beach, Fla.

    Julio Lizararazo, Paramedic, Land O Lakes, Fla.

    Angela Tobin, Paramedic, Ft. Myers, Fla.

The recruits will spend the next four weeks of employment attending the agency's new employment orientation program which will initiate them to local protocols and policies. With the addition of the 18 recruits, Lee County EMS employs 270 paramedic and EMTs and is actively working to fill its 9 remaining field provider vacancies.
