Oct 23, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Paul Valenti, Equal Opportunity Office – 533-2204 "OPEN HOUSE" REGARDING RECOVERY WORK IN WAKE OF NATURAL DISASTERS Fort Myers, FL – Lee County Equal Opportunity Manager Paul Valenti announces that subcontractors hoping to become pre-qualified to assist in clean-up and recovery efforts in the wake of a natural disaster will have a chance to meet with Lee County's general contractor for such services on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, from 3 to 5 PM in the 1st floor conference room of the County Administration Building (2115 Second Street, Fort Myers, FL). Lee County contracting opportunities are open and equally available to all. The county's general contractor for disaster recovery services, Crowder-Gulf, will have a representative attend a meeting of the Board of County Commissioner's Multicultural Affairs Advisory Board on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at 6:00 PM to give a brief presentation on the process for pre-qualifying as a subcontractor and to answer any questions board members may have.
