Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau announces new communications coordinator

 LEE COUNTY, FL – Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) welcomes a new member to the staff: Katie Meckley as communications coordinator.
 Meckley will assist in establishing and maintaining contact with travel writers worldwide, along with coordinating media research visits in order to facilitate editorial coverage of the destination. The position also involves maintenance of various databases, collateral distribution, and collecting media clips.
 Meckley previously worked as public relations coordinator at Luctor International / Van Gogh® Vodka.   She has sports marketing experience from internships with the Pensacola Ice Pilots, an ECHL hockey team and the Pensacola Sports Association, along with hospitality experience through her employment at South Seas Island Resort.  Meckley received her bachelor's degree in communications with a focus on public relations and marketing applications from the University of West Florida in Pensacola.
