Five EMS Employees Attain Credentials
Aug 20, 2007 FIVE Lee County Emergency Medical services employees Attain credentials Ft. Myers, Fla.- Lee County Emergency Medical Services announced today that it added five credentialled emergency medical technicians (EMT) to its division through their successful completion of the agency's field training program. Recently credentialled employees are: Sean Powell, EMT, Ft. Myers, Fla. Terry Whittaker, EMT, Sarasota, Fla. Zach Pontius, EMT, Sarasota, Fla. Michele Gilyard, EMT, Lehigh Acres, Fla. Ruth Spurlock, EMT, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Each paramedic and EMT that Lee County hires or promotes is required to participate in a four week orientation program and complete a field training program. Upon completion of the field training program, recruits are required to sit before an internal credentialling board which includes the EMS medical director. Lee County EMS currently employs 233 credentialled field provider paramedics and EMTs. |
