EMS Adds Nine Credentialled Field Providers

Ft. Myers, Fla.- Lee County Emergency Medical Services announced today that it added nine credentialled field providers to its division through their successful completion of the agency's field training program.

Recently credentialled employees are:
Teri Wrathell, Paramedic, Fort Myers, Fla.
Albert Dominguez, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Jon Paul Hooie, EMT, Lehigh Acres, Fla.
Carlos Materanos, EMT, Hollywood, Fla.
Jason Melville, EMT, Fort Myers, Fla.
Greg Wasmuth, EMT, Naples, Fla.
David Santiago, EMT, North Fort Myers, Fla.
Gabner Alcime, EMT, Port Charlotte, Fla.
Eric Smedberg, EMT, Fort Myers, Fla.

Each paramedic and EMT that Lee County hires or promotes is required to participate in a four week orientation program and complete a field training program. Upon completion of the field training program, recruits are required to sit before an internal credentialling board which includes the EMS medical director.

Lee County EMS currently employs 228 credentialled field provider paramedics and EMTs.
