Punta Rassa Boat Ramp to Close for Three Months on July 9, 2007
Jul 3, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Punta Rassa Boat Ramp to Close for Three Months Beginning Monday, July 9, 2007 Fort Myers, FL, July 3, 2007 – On Monday, July 9, 2007 the Punta Rassa Boat Ramp will temporarily close to the public. This closure is required to complete the renovations and expansion of the parking area as well as to create a safety buffer for demolition of the drawbridge. This closure is expected to continue for three months. No traffic will be permitted in the parking area during this time. Boaters are advised to use other boat ramps while this work takes place. Improvements to the Punta Rassa boat ramp include reconfiguring the parking area to add 65 new spaces for boat trailers and a new fish cleaning station.
