4th OF JULY - GARBAGE, RECYCLING AND YARD WASTE COLLECTION SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR JULY 4TH THROUGH JULY 7TH

FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 28, 2007) – Please be advised that all unincorporated areas of Lee County as well as the City of Bonita Springs, and the Town of Fort Myers Beach have garbage, recycling, and yard waste collections delayed for one day starting Wednesday, July 4th  in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

If the regularly scheduled garbage pick up day is Wednesday, then it will be Thursday; if it is normally on Thursday, then it will be Friday, and if Friday is your regularly scheduled collection day then it will be Saturday.

This schedule is only in effect from July 4th   to July 7th , 2007.  Regular scheduled collections will resume on Monday, July 9th , 2007.

Here is a suggestion for all of those who will spend their 4th Of July celebration at a park or at the beach:  Bring a trash bag and try to make the space you're in cleaner than when you got there.  Please remember to recycle glass, steel, tin, aluminum, paper, and plastic products!  Enjoy the holiday and be safe.
