Summerlin/Gladiolus Intersection to Close Nights May 29-31
May 24, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Amy Davies, Lee County DOT, 479-8589 SUMMERLIN/GLADIOLUS INTERSECTION TO CLOSE NIGHTS FROM MAY 29 THROUGH MAY 31 FORT MYERS, FL (May 24, 2007) – Through traffic in ALL directions at the intersection of Summerlin Road and Gladiolus Drive will be closed each night from Tuesday, May 29, 2007 through Thursday, May 31, 2007, for the removal of the overhang brackets in anticipation of opening Flyover A. Right turns only will be available on each leg of the intersection as well as the use of Flyover B (west to south movement from Gladiolus to Summerlin). The intersection will be closed each night beginning Tuesday, May 29 until Thursday, May 31 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. MOTORISTS SHOULD AVOID THIS INTERSECTION AND USE ALTERNATE ROUTES; U.S. 41, CYPRESS LAKE DRIVE AND WINKLER ROAD Access to businesses at the intersection will be provided. Law enforcement will be available to assist with maintenance of traffic. |
