Animal Services & Adopt-A-Pet TV Now Featured on Lee TV
May 14, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Lee County Animal Services & Adopt A Pet TV Now Featured on Lee TV Fort Myers, Florida, 5/14/07 – Lee County is please to announce its newest feature on Lee TV. The popular Adopt A Pet TV show, hosted by animal behaviorist, Christina Crawfis, will feature two episodes per month about Lee County Animal Services and the pets in their care. Each episode will air four times on the county's government access channel, Comcast channel 11 and channel 16 in Cape Coral. The program will air at 8:00 pm on Fridays and 2:00 pm on Saturdays. On each episode Animal Services staff will discuss timely topics such as pet hurricane preparedness, kitten season, dog bite safety, pet sterilization, animal laws, and the prevention of cruelty to name a few. Upcoming local events for pet owners and their pets plus answers to pet care, pet behavior, and training issues are also highlighted as well as the many pets for adoption at Animal Services. The Lee County Cell Dogs Program will also take part in the county sponsored episodes. The Lee County Cell Dogs Program places homeless shelter dogs from Lee County Animal Services to be obedience trained by carefully selected inmates from the Lee County Sheriff's Dept. The dog training program, taught by volunteers from Companion Dog Training Center, teaches inmates how to obedience train dogs during an intensive 8 to 16 week course.
